Scarlet Weather Rhapsody

Scarlet Weather RhapsodyNow then, this looks special! Avid NetbookGamer LordcloudX spills the beans on this crazy 2D Fighter!!

"This is a one-on-one 2D fighting game featuring the cute girls of the Touhou doujin shooter games. It features 3D effects like Guilty Gear and uses 2D sprites and backgrounds. The game allows a range of fighting styles some degree of success; from spamming projectiles and using traps to relying on combo-heavy melee. The deceptively simple combo and graze system allows casual gamers to step right into it while allowing experienced players to show the newbies how the game should really be played. 2 players can play online by connecting to a host's IP address while other players can connect to an ongoing match to watch the action. The game's internal online software compensates well for lag by slowing the game down so that both players see the same action happen on-screen."

He goes on to say "Story mode and the rest of the game is in Japanese but that's hardly a hindrance for fighting games. The game's official system requirements state that it needs 1 gb of ram but it ran fine (full speed) on my 512 mb while I was running mIRC in the background at the same time. You screen resolution has to be set to 800x600 for the game to properly fill an 800x480 screen."

Hardware: Classmate PC Variant (Neo Explore X1), 900 mhz celeron M processor, 512 mb ram
