Torchlight

Blake gave a shout out for Torchlight, a Diablo 2 stlye game. "I have only played the game on a pc, but the is a compadability function in the options for better gameplay on netbooks."

Free demo here:- http://www.torchlightgame.com/

I note with interest, that the player make take a break from Dungeon style bashing with a touch of fishing! \o/

I have a Lenovo S12, with the VIA chipset. I'm running Win 7 with 3 GB of RAM. Torchlight is very choppy, even with everything turned down and the "netbook" box checked.

Same here, Eee PC 1201HAB 1.33Ghz, 1Gb RAM WinXP. Game is too choppy to play even with all settings turned down and netbook mode one, I haven't tried overclocking though. It's a shame too because Steam synchs your character saves.

Yup. Tried too, with my newly bought Lenovo S10-2, upgraded to 2Gb RAM. Even with lowest settings, the game ain't playable (I'd accept low rez, no glow graphics, but this isn't worth it). I had high hopes, actually, because I'd seen the Netbook mode when playing on my other computer.
