In other words "perfect for netbooks"

Installation:
An almost painless experience, there is just one issue. The default resolution for Conquer is 1024x768 and it is set to play in windowed mode, my netbook like many others have a 1200x600 resolution. However we are also allowed a 800x600 resolution, which is lucky. Because the default resolution simply screws up the display, and you end up with the top quarter of the game, you are unable to click the "options" button and change the resolution to a playable 800x600. I have found a simple but slightly irritating work around to this. If your netbook has a VGA out port, then simply plug it into any normal monitor and set your resolution to whatever you like, run the game on the monitor and go into the settings and change it to 800x600 full screen mode. When you unplug the monitor and run the game on your netbook's screen it works flawlessly, even if it isn't in wide screen.

How the game runs
I normally run this game using the "standard definition" option to save power, but the "high definition" option works fine without slowing frame rate or game play. It works as well on my netbook as on my desktop(which isn't too bad itself) not much more to say, for me lag is an issue occasionaly, but I believe that is simply because of my internet connection.

One way of changing to 800x600:
- Edit \ini\GameSetUp.ini
- Change ScreenModeRecor d=2 to ScreenModeRecor d=1
- Rename \ini\GUI.ini to GUI_.ini, then rename GUI800x600.ini to GUI.ini.

This way, at least for me, I got a full screen at 800x600.

Hope this helps.
