Thanks to Fredrik Sævland for this good looking RPG…
This is a true, cheap, addictive and awesome RPG-game made by one independent person! You are in a gigantic (8 times size of the earth) world which are generated as you explore, so the map will always be different every time you play! In this world you must mine ores, craft tools and build yourself a shed to hide away from the merciless monsters that roam at nightfall. Build a gigantic castle or mine an epic cave, play alone or join other players in multiplayer! Continue Reading
Great fps game with some adult themes. Lots of action, shooting, and tongue in cheek humor as well as some great one liners. When you run the game for the first time make sure to go into the advanced options in the start menu and check, disable lightmapping, enable optimized surfaces, and enable triple buffering for a healthy increase in performance without losing much image quality. Time to change. Netbookgamer is over 3 years old now. Young for sure, but in internetz years its knocking on a bit. It was built on a Joomla platform, mainly as I’ve been toying with Joomla for the last few years. Joomla is very good, its scalable and (with the right componant) incredibily powerful.
But, recently I took a look at WordPress again, after trying it a few years ago I cant say I was that impressed. Things change though. I`ve been building a few sites using WordPress for a couple of months now, and I am quite impressed!! There is still a lot to learn of course, but already I`ve a sneaky feeling I might not by building so many Joomla sites in the future.
Lets see how it goes as I get my head around WordPress and see if there`s anymore life to be squeezed out of NetBookGamer!
You may have noticed, I`ve lost all the post comments during the switch!! Gah. /o\

Ryan Amalfitano reports on this interesting online gaming distribution service…
Onlive isn’t actually a game per se; it’s basically a gaming-on-demand platform, as the game is being run on a different computer and sent to remote servers, which then streams the video/audio to your computer. Which means that all of the hardware is pretty much irrelevant as long as your netbook can handle Youtube, since the game is not being run on your computer. Onlive is a great service because it blows the netbook’s gaming potential wide open, and as long as you have a good internet connection, playing Crysis on your netbook might not be so crazy after all.

DOSBox is a DOS-emulator that uses the SDL-library which makes DOSBox very easy to port to different platforms. DOSBox has already been ported to many different platforms, such as Windows, BeOS, Linux, MacOS X…
DOSBox also emulates CPU:286/386 realmode/protected mode, Directory FileSystem/XMS/EMS, Tandy/Hercules/CGA/EGA/VGA/VESA graphics, a SoundBlaster/Gravis Ultra Sound card for excellent sound compatibility with older games…
You can “re-live” the good old days with the help of DOSBox, it can run plenty of the old classics that don’t run on your new computer!
