The Definitive Shooter that defined the first person shooter category. the plot involves a wormhole experiment that goes wrong and opens a portal to hell on the moons of mars. This is the 4 episode retail edition witch includes an prequel episode to Doom 2. The game runs great on a net-book and is still a great play you can get the game on steam in a dosbox wrapper or extract the doom wad file and use a source port to run the game naively in windows. This game runs surprisingly well on a old netbook with 512 megs of RAM. The game has no lag at ALL. Runs 50-60 FPS with low settings. Tuning up the graphics won’t compromise the performance at all. The game is a first and third person game. It’s set in the Star Wars world, you play as Kyle Katarn with a blaster and a stun gun at the beginning. You go through different levels of fighting enemies, obtaining different weapons along the way. It gets harder eventually as you progress through the levels.
